The Institute of Czech History at the Faculty of Philosophy of the Charles University in Prague and the Migration Competence Centre from Armenia, have joined the NISE Network.
Ústavčeských dějin, the Institute of Czech History at the Faculty of Philosophy of the Charles University in Prague (Czech Republic) conducts research a.o. on the development of politics and roles of political personalities in major social changes and the transformation of Czech society following the fall of communism in 1989. It also is the only Czech academic institute conducting systematic research into the history of historiography and into the teaching of history.
Since 1979 identity formation has been a specialised topic at its Faculty of Sociology of the Yerevan State University in Armenia. This has been last year formalised through the establishment of the Migration Competence Centre (MCC), with emphasis on transnational and diaspora identity.
